Enjoy four hours on Monterey Bay with humpbacks, dolphins, and other marine mammals alongside marine biologist Nancy Black and ACS community members. This is a benefit whale watch hosted by the American Cetacean Society SF Bay Chapter to support our mission toward the protection of cetaceans and their habitat.
In the last year, we have awarded grants to three marine biologists who through their research are pushing forward knowledge of cetaceans, especially critical now as warming seas are changing prey patterns and impacting ocean ecosystems. Our monthly talks attract a growing community of cetacean lovers eager to learn from respective experts on cetacean behavior and habitat dependencies. Our annual online nature class “The Marine Wildlife of the Gulf of the Farallons” is very popular, offering an exciting deep-dive education over seven weeks.
